Effective August 18, 2026. Version v2026-08-18.1.
Contact details. Your name, email address, and phone number, when you book, sign up, or reach out to us.
Appointment details. The services you book, your visit history, notes about your cut, and anything you tell us so we can do the job right.
Payment details. Handled by Square, not by us. If you keep a card on file, Square holds the card and we only ever see the last four digits, the card brand, and whether a charge went through.
Account and sign-in details. Your email, and if you sign in with Google, your name, email address, and profile picture.
Messages. Texts, emails, chat messages, and calls between you and the studio, including a recording and transcript when you call the studio line.
Comments. What you post on our blog, plus your display name.
Website data. Pages visited, general location (city level), device and browser type, and IP address.
We use this information to book and manage your appointments, take payment, send appointment reminders and confirmations, notify you when a waitlist opening becomes available, answer your questions, send occasional email reminders to book, send our newsletter if you've subscribed, keep the site working and free of spam, and keep the records the law says a business has to keep.
We're one barber, not a tech company, so we use outside services to run the studio. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job, and none of them are allowed to use your information for their own marketing.
Square takes payments and holds any card you keep on file.
Twilio sends and receives our text messages.
Resend sends our appointment emails.
Brevo sends our newsletter to people who signed up for it.
Supabase and Vercel host the booking site and store its database. Cloudflare hosts this website and stores blog comments.
Google handles sign-in, syncs your appointment to the studio calendar so times don't get double booked, runs our website analytics, and hosts our reviews.
Anthropic powers an AI assistant that only T uses, inside the studio's private admin screen. It can read booking records, including client names and appointment times, to help T schedule and answer questions about the calendar. It cannot see your payment details, and it never talks to customers.
Retell powers the AI voice assistant that may answer the studio phone line.
Botpress powers the chat widget on this website.
When you call 240-226-3352, an AI voice assistant may answer, and the call is recorded and transcribed so we have an accurate record of what was booked. You are told this at the start of the call. If you would rather not be recorded: returning clients can use the chat on tcutme.com, anyone can book online at book.tcutme.com, or email [email protected] and T will book it for you (a $5 booking fee may apply, see the Booking Policy; always waived for accessibility needs).
The website chat widget is automated too. It will tell you so if you ask.
You can sign in with Google to comment on our blog. When you do, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google, and we use them only to show your comment and recognize you next time.
TCUTME's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. Your name, email, and phone number are never shared with, sold to, or rented to any third party for their own marketing purposes. The only companies that touch your information are the ones listed above, doing the job we hired them for.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with, or sold to, any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
The one exception anywhere in this policy: if the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena, we may have to hand over records.
Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand general site traffic (pages visited, general location, device type). This data is aggregated and not tied to your personal booking information. Google Analytics and our sign-in both set cookies in your browser. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, though sign-in will stop working if you do.
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is still no agreed standard for what a website should do with it, so we do not respond to Do Not Track signals. What we do instead is the thing that matters: we do not sell your information and we do not let anyone track you across other websites from ours.
You can opt out of text or email communications at any time by replying STOP to a text, unsubscribing from an email, or contacting us directly at 240-226-3352 (call only). Text only: 877-552-7613.
You can ask us to delete your personal information at any time. Email [email protected], call 240-226-3352 (call only), or text 877-552-7613 (text only). We handle every request within 30 days. One exception: payment records we are legally required to keep for taxes stay on file, but they are no longer tied to your name.
Accounts and online bookings are for adults 18 and up. A parent or guardian books for a child under their own account. We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 13. If you think we have, tell us and we'll delete it.
When this policy changes, we post the new version right here with a new effective date and version number at the top. If a change is a big one, we'll say so by email or text to the people it affects. Checking this page is the way to see where things stand.
See our Terms of Service, Booking Policy, and SMS Terms.
